Why I'm Starting a Blog and Why YOU Should as Well

There are 6 main reasons why I’m starting my own blog and if you have any interest in doing the same I’m certain that at least one of these reasons resonates with you as well.

1. Connecting with like-minded people

I have many specific interests and hobbies and in creating this blog my hope is to reach and connect with other people who share at least some of the same interests.

2. Self-reflection

Like every human on this planet, I have all kinds of ideas racing through my head every day. By creating this blog my aim is to put these ideas and thoughts into text and in doing so I hope that I’m more easily able to reflect on these thoughts and make some sense of them.

3. Having a creative outlet

Although I work in the game industry which is a highly creative field to work in, I still feel like I need my own personal creative outlet where I can freely pursue any wild idea I come up with.

4. Honing my skills

Writing a blog in English about subjects that interest me hones my abilities to think through and communicate to an international audience about topics that are important to me.

5. Provide value to the world

My aim is to write and provide information about topics that could be helpful to people. For the longest time, I have thought that I only should try to educate other people when I’m a world-class expert at something, but then I realized that there is always someone who is less knowledgeable about a certain topic you are knowledgeable about and could use some help.

6. Eventually turning this hobby into a source of income

If you are able to provide value to the world then eventually this will lead to you receiving a reward for it. I can’t think of anything better than earning a living by providing value to the world in a way that you enjoy doing.

What are you waiting for?

If even one of these six reasons resonated with you, what are you waiting for? I have started my journey by creating this blog post.

Stay tuned! In the next post, I’ll be explaining what this whole blog is going to be about.
